painting the potato cut - getting ready to stamp it.
As I mentioned earlier, Conrad Machine in White Hall MI made us an etching press. Yesterday and today we got it rolling, adjusted the different pressure options with felts, screws and paper thickness and produced some nice greeting cards. When we put way too much ink on the first trial run, the block just slid under the pressure of the roller, creating a wide trail of blue black ink instead of a chicory flower; Trial and Error!
We also did potato prints, versatile and organic; they allow for infinite variation.
