Cinderella the cat knew everything about Caledonia but she had never been as far as Dutton. Teemeyer was about to learn something Cinderella didn’t know. As he watched out of one eye while spearing frogs he saw two more dogs come out of the morning mist and vanish into the hole under the corn crib.

Nobody in Dutton knew that there were unwanted dogs living secretly under the corn crib. The dogs had become homeless when their owners turned to computers and iphones for fun and stopped paying attention to the pets. So they had banded together and they foraged for food at night along with the coyotes, coons and feral cats.
