Twenty two years ago she was into painting. Now she’s a music-maker. We are all hungry for creativity, even in a pandemic. In the last five months classes at Coldwater Studio have been suspended, but five paintings and dozens of block-print cards have been sold. One of my sons has created and sold paintings in the studio, another son has built an art consulting and restoration business in the barn, another son has written a book, and a construction crew gave the house a new red roof. Pigeons are making families, hens are creating eggs, bees are making honey, raccoons are creating havoc in the corn rows. Enjoy what’s left of this unusual summer and reflect on all these good things.
